JOURNEES SCIENTIFIQUES DE LA SOCIETE FRANCAISE DE PHYSIQUE MEDICALE - SFPM
Every year, the French Society of Medical Physics (SFPM) organizes scientific days for medical physics professionals: mainly medical physicists, but also dosimetrists, Technicians, students, nuclear physicians, radiotherapists and manufacturers. Medical physics is the application of particle physics to health. It encompasses imaging (scanners, MRI, etc.), nuclear medicine (SPECT, PET) and radiotherapy. The latter is mainly focused on cancer treatment. The scientific days provide an opportunity to review and discuss the latest technological and medical advances, as well as new areas of research. The event is organized by medical physicists from the host city. Nantes previously hosted this event in 2011.
